Priscilla Kersey Excellence Scholarship
The Priscilla Kersey Excellence Award
Ciara Lilly, an alumna of UNC Charlotte, has established this scholarship in honor of her grandmother, Priscilla Kersey, who was incredibly instrumental in encouraging Ciara to pursue excellence in all of her endeavors. She put a special emphasis on education stating, “Get your education. It’s the one thing that no one can ever take away from you.” That advice resonated with Ciara and served as a catalyst for her lifelong quest for knowledge and self-betterment. Ciara received her bachelor’s degree in English from UNC Charlotte in 2009.
The purpose of the award is to provide a scholarship to students based on the following criteria:
- Freshmen students only
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- UTOP student participant
- Non-renewable
The application will be available yearly during the Fall semester with the award being made during the Spring semester.
